Ruler Work Rocks Linky Party

Here's my practice sampler using my straight ruler to FMQ the basic block pattern of a snq with a churn dash in the middle.
I used a double curve ruler I bought from Amy's store. I love the curved cross-hatch in the corners.
I used a decorative stitch on my Janome Horizon to hide some practice threads that showed up too much on my first corner.
I like to use these practice quilt sandwiches as shelf liners for small kitchen appliances and small placemats depending on their size.
I'm linking this piece up with Amy's Free Motion Quilting Adventure and her Ruler Work Rocks Linky Party

  1. Beautiful! As is the wholeclothe and quilting on the linen! I love the linen idea. I have inherited several pieces from my husband's side of he family. When my quilting has improved, I might have to try your idea of quilting linens.
